Last week I had a truly wonderful day out at the amazing V & A museum, London.
It has to be my favourite museum - I love the mix of old and modern exhibits there.
I find the Islamic, Indian, and the far east galleries fascinating and inspiring, and have spent many happy hours sketching and strolling around in wonderment!
I was lucky enough to catch the Frida Kahlo exhibition before it ends this week. Having visited her house in Mexico city 20 years ago, I was keen revisit some of the artefacts and photos collated from there, and to see some of her outfits which had been locked away for 15 years.
Hers is a sad and inspirational story, of personal loss and how traumatic events fuelled her creativity.
